Drinks and food were really good. We had the Ny steak fajitas, salsa tray, guacamole, and al pastor tacos. Our bartender was nice and helped us decide what drinks to choose from the menu and they both tasted great. I suggest making a reservation. I liked the food and drinks here way better than Casita in sherman oaks which has a similar vibe.

The cuisine was absolutely delicious. The ambiance was on point and well balanced in terms of music, lighting, and furnishings. And to top it off, the service was excellent! I came here to celebrate my birthday with my family and had a great time. We started with the chips and salsa plate, which was tasty and I'd highly recommend. We also ordered the group LP margarita, which was a pitcher that served 3 drinks. This was a great option for a group. We also had the chicken nachos as a starter and they were really good. I had the quesabirria tacos as my main dish and they were the best I've ever had. They were crispy and came with consume and a side of rice and beans. I will say, everyone in my group ordered tacos and I think it's the best value because it comes with a side. 10/10 The service was 7.5/10. We had a reservation and still had to wait 10 minutes for the tables to be put together. Our drinks and starters were ordered quick but we had to wait a while to order our main dishes. I think their service will improve after some time considering they're a newer restaurant. The ambiance was my favorite. It was one of the main reasons why I chose this spot for my birthday dinner. It felt like a club inside but the music wasn't too loud where you couldn't hear each other. It feels like a nice spot for a first date or birthday, maybe not an anniversary. For sure a great happy hour spot.

I came to La Popular last week for my friend's birthday and was pleasantly surprised, among arrival I was greeted by our amazing server Alex P. We informed her it was our first time dining at the restaurant and she gave us the full background of the restaurant and run down of the menu. We decided to take her recommendation and ordered the group Perlas cocktail and started with the guacamole and Rebi Chicharrones, for entree we ordered the New York Steak and Al pastor tacos coastra style. Everything was so delicious and our server was very attentive to our needs. She even brought out a complimentary scoop of ice cream for our friend's birthday which was the cherry on top! Overall our experience was a 10/10, recommendations were on point, food was amazing and service was above and beyond! Will definitely be back soon!
